Are you doing your best to be productive and to improve your productivity? Trying to work as efficiently as possible? Many of us are, and why shouldn’t we, productivity is a good thing, isn’t it? Paradoxically, all these efforts to maximise our productivity can sometimes turn out to be… counterproductive. For example, we may come to believe that all that matters is what we can measure. I encountered this problem almost daily in my former corporate career. Even worse, we might come to believe that having a bad day is unproductive and so – unacceptable. That’s why I would like to share with you this video I found very insightful and oddly inspiring – it is on the culture of toxic productivity and the various productivity myths. Enjoy!

Keeping up the “Spreading the Word” tradition, I hope to share an insightful and thought-provoking article, podcast episode or video every weekend. Humans have always turned and returned to storytelling to find meaning. My weekends’ “Spreading the Word” posts are an online version of sharing meaningful stories.
keep exploring and storytelling!
