Spreading the Word: Forgotten Existentialist

Sartre and Kierkegaard are among the well-known names of existentialist thinkers. There is one name that does not come to mind too often when thinking about existentialism – Karl Jaspers. Read more about this 20th century philosopher whose influence is sometimes neglected: “Forgotten Existentialist”. Enjoy!

“After all, his work initiated one particular strain of French existentialism, and it is not an exaggeration to say that behind every famous existentialist thinker in the early half of the 20th century lurks Jaspers.”

Keeping up the “Spreading the Word” tradition, I hope to share an insightful and thought-provoking article, podcast episode or video every weekend. Humans have always turned and returned to storytelling to find meaning. My weekends’ “Spreading the Word” posts are an online version of sharing meaningful stories.

keep exploring and storytelling!
