Spreading the Word: Take a Trip to Nature (in the Carpathian Mountains)

In this week’s “Spreading the Word”, I share with you a travel video. This time, it’s something a bit special and not my standard format, so to speak. It is a video of one guy who has a travel vlog. He lives in Ukraine and has travelled all over the world, posting videos about his journeys. He doesn’t have a crew, it’s ”all himself”, as he puts it (filming, editing, equipment etc.)

This video that I would like to share with you is special for at least two other reasons – it is about travelling behind closed borders (due to quarantine lockdowns) and taking time to explore the country one lives in, and it is a new format for him too – during the roughly 25 minutes there are hardly any words spoken (a little bit at the end – with subtitles in English), and the whole focus is on getting you really close to nature, to feel the experience of being there on that hike with him. I suggest you listen with your headphones for the best impressions. It’s really worth it!

The hike he went on was through the Ukrainian Carpathian mountains, close to the border with Romania. Roughly here:

My estimation

I hope you enjoy this relaxing and beautiful experience as much as I did!

Keeping up the “Spreading the Word” tradition, every Thursday I hope to share with you an article I’ve read or a video I’ve seen and considered it to be inspiring or enlightening. I feel it is important to take good care not just of our physical but also of our mental well-being. Humans have always turned and returned to storytelling. My Thursdays’ “Spreading the Word” articles are an online version of sharing worthwhile stories.

keep exploring and storytelling!
